Responsible for PC hardware, software, networking and data communications, implementation and support, and troubleshooting in client/server environments.
Designed, implemented, and managed a Frame Relay Wide Area Network consisting of 650+ PCs in 56 Manufacturer’s Rep offices and 6 worldwide plants with links to the corporate IBM mainframe and 8 Novell and Windows networks.
Implemented an Employee Computer Purchase plan which placed 200+ PCs in the homes of employees.
Established PC User’s Groups which successfully trained employees in PC use.
Expanded the use of distributed processing on PCs through the use of Lotus 1-2-3 , Microsoft Windows and Excel, various financial packages, and migration of functions off mainframe resources to user departments.
